HAPPY BOOK WEEK! (October 17 – 23, 2020)

I took some time to create an awesome activity this month that is tailored to us being able to celebrate two things.

Firstly, the festivities of Book Week and secondly, all the miracles of the world – YOU!

So, what is it you ask…?

It’s a book that you make about your life with moments that you believe to be special.

I came up with this idea as I wanted to highlight the importance of your memories and experiences and how they shape who you are - the BIGGEST MIRACLE IN THE WORLD ... that’s YOU!

Taking time to think about moments throughout my life and how special my life has been was something I really appreciated and I hope you do too!

Have fun everyone!

Activity Description: Write a story, ‘YOUR’ story, of life highlighting key moments and the creation of the MIRACLE that is you.

Materials:

  • Blank sheets of paper

  • Coloured pencils

  • Grey lead

  • Pencil sharpener

  • Stapler and staples

Steps:

  1. Draw a picture and write down what your picture is. It will be a picture that best represents where you are in your life now.

  2. Working your way backwards from here, add in all of your life’s most important moments with pictures and words, just like a picture book.

  3. After filling in all these moments and experiences you will be at the beginning – the most important moment, the MIRACLE of YOU – your birth. Draw a picture and write your name and date of birth.

  4. Finish by completing the cover – Title ‘MIRACLE’ with a picture of you.

DONE!
